Sulfur

Sulfur is the most crucial element in the body’s detoxification process and has been known as the beauty mineral because of its ability to maintain the clarity and youth of the skin.  Sulfur is an important mineral in cellular respiration.  Sulfur is needed in the oxidation-reduction reactions that assist cells in the utilization of oxygen, which aids brain function and cell activity.  These reactions are dependant on the amino acid cysteine, which aids in the production of bile secretions by the liver and eliminate toxins.  Many toxins require sulfur to be transported out of the body.

Sulfur is sometimes referred to as the “Anti Aging Mineral” because of its incredible ability to detoxify dangerous toxins that can cause tissue oxidation.  Sulfur is often used to treat disorders of the skin and hair.  Sulfur is one of the primary components of keratin, which is found in the skin, hair, and nails.
